Through the eyes of passionate Dominicans we aim to showcase the real ‘local’ feel of the Dominican Republic, emphasising its senses and how we as locals enjoy it. It is our belief that Luxury is different to each individual, and as our country's slogan well states - "IT HAS IT ALL."

“I believe travel teaches you a lot about who you are as an individual, and traveling helps you grow as a person. Eating something you've never tried, or going to a deserted beach with no signal fills you with adrenaline and ignites your senses. I believe you should always go back home as a different person than before you embarked on a trip.”

 THREE QUESTIONS WITH sergio

What inspired you to create your company?

“Having traveled all over the world and worked in luxury hotels for over a decade in kitchens, events, operation, sales, and multiple years as a Sales Representative, I realized how little is known of the Dominican Republic aside from Punta Cana and the all inclusive hotels. This motivated me to want to showcase the Dominican Republic as the locals live it, and I quickly realized that there are no other DMC’s focused on luxury travel, on regenerative travel, on gastronomical experiences within the island. I knew with my service driven expertise, and how well I know the island, our history and culture it was time to do something about it.”

What is your favourite place in the Dominican Republic and why?

“Punta Rucia in the Northwest of the Dominican Republic. It's a 2 hour drive from Puerto Plata going through nature and arriving at an unspoiled virgin beach. Our friends own a restaurant there called Blue Island, and from there we take the local “yola” (our fishermen speed boats) to a small island called Cayo Arena, it has some of the best snorkelling in the country and after spending hours there we take the yola back through the northern mangroves, arrive at blue island for delicious fresh local fish, and rum with coconut water. To me, to do that as an experience, showcases multiple aspects of our culture and in one day, you get to experience different flavours, landscapes, views, and learn the “local” way.”

What album would accompany you on your travels?

“Putumayo Presents: Congo to Cuba

"I'm a believer in eating your way into a culture, and it's largely unknown how good Dominican gastronomy is! Our curated experiences are based around the five senses, and thus we add plenty of focus to include our favourite restaurants, bars, and regional dishes to our journeys. The best part of this is that it's the most unique way to connect with the locals. Coconut and rum anyone?"
