Daunt Travel is an agency based out of London and SINGAPORE. With unwavering principles, we create individual trips for those who tend to seek out roads less travelled from Chad to Indonesia, Patagonia to Pantelleria, in search for the most original, empowering experiences on earth.
“Complicated logistics are put together with the precision that comes with over 25 years of searching for the most original, empowering experiences on earth, from helicopter safaris in northern Chad, to accessing secret gardens in Venice, to finding private houses on secluded islands in forgotten seas…”
THREE QUESTIONS WITH ALICE & NIALL
Can you share your favourite travel book?
Alice - “Strolling Through Istanbul – classic guide to Istanbul by Hilary Sumner-Boyd and John Freely that is as brilliant in its revised and updated edition as it was in its original format, published some 40 years ago. You should not visit Istanbul without it.”
Niall – “Not exactly a travel book but Gerald Hanley’s Warrior: Life and Death Among the Somalis portrays the madness and beauty the desert possesses.”
What is your top tip for getting under the skin of your clients?
“I’m afraid it’s not rocket science. It’s as simple as picking up the phone together or sitting down for food together.”
Whats is your favourite stamp in your passport?
Niall – “I’m even more intrigued by the countries who you can’t let them stamp! For those who do, I will always have a soft spot for Bhutan, where I was lucky to live for a time.”
“Daunt is among the cream of secret agents – discreet, deeply well informed.”
