I caught the travel bug while working as a flight attendant during university. I have done many different things in my career, including working on a trading floor in Wall Street and launching two companies, one in events and one in the travel tech space. Taking my children on a trip around the world led me to launch one of the first blogs about family travel, BozAround, back in 2008. The blog led to the creation of BozAround Private Travel, set up on the eve of the covid pandemic. I specialize in creating sustainably luxurious family journeys for my clients.

 THREE QUESTIONS WITH VANESSA

Where is the strangest place you have ever been?

‘Many moons ago, I found myself in a Candomblé ceremony a.k.a “dance in honor of the gods” in a little house in the backstreets of Salvador de Bahia. Whether there were any sacrifices going on that evening, I will never know. But in fact, I’d rather never know.’

What is your favourite view?

‘When I saw Victoria Falls for the first time from above, elephants drinking and all and the huge noise of the waterfalls below me. So overpowering and magical.’

What are your core company values?

‘Honest travel recommendations that combine style and purpose – authentic places recommended because they allow for genuine exchanges between the traveller and the destinations. Togetherness created through travel.’

‘I have great joy in designing unique and ultra-tailored itineraries for my clients who are for the most part families, based a little everywhere around the world. I am a little stubborn and will often insist they go somewhere, see something if I think it is right for them. Ultimately I am loving the match making process of suggesting the right places for the right clients, combining style and purpose.’
