EXP Journeys is not a travel agency or tour company. We are purveyors of unique experiences, focused on private, custom travel. As seasoned travel guides with local connections in the areas we serve, we take our clients off the beaten path, and create experiences that are entirely unique for each traveler and each trip. Your journey is designed for you, and only you.
“I am passionate about pushing the boundaries of what is possible in travel and continuing to re-define what travel means and the impact it can have.”
THREE QUESTIONS WITH kevin
What five words best describe your company?
“Creative. Service. Passion. Trust. Care.”
Tell us about one of the most interesting people you have met on your travels…
“The most interesting person I have ever met is Peter McDonald. Peter is one of the original Navajo Code Talkers and teaches our guests the Navajo Code that was used in the Pacific. At the young age of 93, he is still incredibly sharp. Peter was also president of the Navajo Nation and helped bring education and technology to the Nation. I have had the opportunity to sit with Peter over dinner dozens of times and I learn something new from him each and every time.”
What is your favourite kind of trip?
“My favourite kind of trip is one that brings remote and unique destinations to life with an educational component. These trips have a theme and a connected storyline to continue the magic all the way through the program. I really enjoy when we create something new that has never been done before and being able to watch it unfold and see the genuine reaction from the client.”
“The travel industry has offered me many opportunities to meet great people, see incredible places and share my passion with so many others. Creating experiences for guests has allowed me to see the impact travel can have on so many people and places. My goal, as EXP continues to grow, is to enable young guides to be stewards of service and expertise in the areas we operate and to continue to support sustainable efforts throughout all travel channels.”
