THREE QUESTIONS WITH BILLUR & SUle

Do you have any advice for someone starting out as a DMC?

‘Ongoing curiosity to dig for new information and authentic experiences. Transparency with suggestions and comments to create best fitting programs. To have a trusting relationship with your partners and suppliers. Flexibility in relation to client expectations. To be modest and act consciously, as if you are the ambassador of your country’

Give us your top 5 reasons to travel to Turkey…

‘Turkey has so many layers of history you could dig practically anywhere and travel back centuries in time.

The people are gracious, warm, and fun-loving.

Its a phenomenal place for food and drink.

It is home to a jaw-dropping variety of natural beauty.

It’s a country with child-like enthusiasm and energy.’

What makes a great guide?

‘No matter how much effort we put on the preparation of our travellers’ trips, guiding becomes one of the most critical parts of the program and he - or she - should be a good model to represent our ethics.

For us what makes a great guide - aside from experience- is first of all flexibility and offering choice to make travellers feel the trip is all their own. Always keeping it fresh, as all the events, landscapes and activities are new and exciting for our travellers and they shouldn’t be denied the freshness and uniqueness that they attribute to them. They should keep sustainability in mind, minimising waste, buying local products and recycling as much as possible.’

‘We want you to love Turkey as much as we do.’
